Academics
In addition to career training, Iroquois Job Corps also provides academic training, including basic reading and math. Courses in independent living, employability skills, and social skills are offered in order to help students transition into the workplace. We also have several academic programs to help our students achieve their full potential.
GED/High School Diploma
One of our top goals at Iroquois Job Corps is to ensure that every qualified student obtains his or her GED/high school diploma prior to leaving the center. Students who don't already have a high school diploma upon their arrival at Iroquois can enroll in our GED program.
Students can earn their high school diplomas through the New Summit Online High School Diploma Program. We also have a co-enrollment program with four local high schools.
ELL Program
Students needing to learn English can enter our English Language Learning (ELL) program. Students in the ELL program are tested regularly to determine their language proficiency levels.
Driver's Education
Driver's Education is available to all students needing a driver's license.
College Program
The College Program is is available to students who demonstrate the skills, motivation, and enthusiasm to compete at the college level. This program is provided through our center's partnership with Genesee Community College.
