Academics

In addition to career training, Iroquois Job Corps also provides academic training, including a foundation in reading and math. Courses in independent living, employability skills, leadership, and social skills are offered in order to assist student employees' transition into one of the "3E"s (Employment, Enlistment or Enrollment). We also have several academic programs to help our student employees in maximizing their full potential.

High School Equivalency Certificate or High School Diploma

One of our top priorities at the Iroquois Job Corps Center is to ensure that every qualified student employee obtains his or her high school equivalency certificate or high school diploma prior to completing the program utilizing individualized educational plans focused on meeting the needs of each individual. Student employees who do not already have a high school diploma upon their arrival at Iroquois Job Corps can enroll in our High School Equivalency program or they can earn their high school diploma through the New Learning Resources or Penn Foster Online High School Diploma Programs.

Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Program

Student employees working to learn English or are from areas where English is a secondary language are able to attend the LEP Program. Student employees in the LEP Program are tested regularly to determine their language proficiency levels.

Driver's Education

Our Driver's Education program is available to student employees needing a driver's license.
